Paying Forward
Paying Forward is the act of passing on the goodness that comes our way without asking anything in return. It is a Royal Connector. It begins with a simple action that builds our own personal resilience. But by its very nature it connects and benefits another person. When Paying Forward is adopted by a team, a company or non-profit organization, the multiplier effect can extend to communities. Beneficence like a river finds its natural pathways.
Here are a few Discovery Questions:
– What is the feeling we detect within ourselves of Paying Forward.
– How might this relate to our personal resilience, and in particular reducing “Need”—the delusion of attachment to results in negotiations.
– What can we discover when observing how Paying Forward multiplies upon itself—engendering cascades of kindness and generosity without asking anything in return?
– In what ways might Paying Forward hold a key to our collective survival?
