KOKORO: 8 Easy Steps

Welcome to Kokoro—for Women’s Wisdom – supporting both Feminine Core Competencies and Women Leadership development.

Here are 8 simple steps to begin exploring Kokoro.

YOUR INQUIRY

Step 1. ASK KOKORO:

Frame your question as a wisdom decision, choice, or proposed action. If you wish, you can include a few sentences of explanation. We live in an Age where wisdom appears in short supply and out of fashion. And yet wisdom may hold the key to our species’ survival. Our purpose is to place in the user’s hands a valuable resource, Kokoro, as an aide in making wise decisions, and avoiding or recovering rapidly from costly errors in judgement. Discovery Question: How can I render Kokoro easy and fun to use, while helping users achieve practical outcomes?

Step 2. ESSENTIAL QUESTIONS:

If desirable, add a related Essential Question from the list. Once selected the text for that question will show on the Essential Questions box.  (This is optional).

THE RESILIENCE GUIDE

In the 3 columns of buttons titled CHALLENGE, RESILIENCE and WISDOM – to scroll within a box section move your cursor over it and use the mouse wheel (or click on the vertical black scroll bar).  To scroll the whole page down, move your mouse cursor to outside the colored boxes and do the same.

Step 3. CHALLENGE ISSUES

Select a few relevant items in Column 1, Your CHALLENGE, from the Resilience Matrix to ground and link your question to your important concerns (and/or write in your own challenge issue at the bottom of the button list). (at least 1 is required)

Step 4. RESILIENCE FACTORS

Select items from Column 2, Resilience Factors, which will deepen your wisdom inquiry. Select one or more Resilience Factor buttons. (required)

Step 5. WISDOM SOURCES

Now Choose one of the Wisdom Sources listed in Column 3 whose personal advice you might really value. If your desired guide is not on the list, simply type in a historical or fictional figure whose life and wisdom greatly inspires you. As you scroll down, you will see your choices in grey.  Now Click the Just Click button to receive a reply. Note this may take up to 10 seconds. NOTE: if the app does not generate an answer, the AI servers could be getting busy, so please just try again, but if the problem persists contact us bill@justclick.earth (When the Kokoro text reply is shown you can vertically expand the text box by dragging down the bottom right corner of the text window. Click More if you wish to go deeper with your Wisdom Source. Copy if you want to save the response to your clipboard. IMPORTANT: When you Copy a session you can simply paste it into a web post, a web page, an email or a Word document.  (NOTE for Word doc pasting: If you have generated any tables in your session’s Kokoro replies you will need to modify the Word document settings to show the entire table – go to File >> Page Setup >> and where you see 100% in the panel for scaling, change it to 65% if printing in page-portrait format, or 85% if printing in page-landscape format). Please note that you can continue the same line of inquiry with different Wisdom Sources; or generate new questions and ideas stimulated by the dialogue. For example:
  • How can I meet the obstacles, barriers, and disappointments ahead with compassion, humor, and flow?
The entire conversation can be copied. To start a new conversation, you must refresh your browser window to reload the app.

RESILIENCE PRACTICES

Step 6. WISDOM PRACTICES:

The next section of the app focuses on Wisdom Practices that may appeal to you. If you are unsure, you can ask Kokoro for guidance as to which practice is ideal for you. Just type your request as a Follow-up Question, as noted above. The key, of course, is to rely more and more on your own awakened intuition and inner wisdom. Let’s look at Resilient Negotiation as one class of practices. (Once you select a single practice, it will link to a new browser tab with that Wisdom Practice. When you are done, you simply close that tab and return to the Kokoro app page. If you wish to look at more Wisdom Practices, simply select another, and it will open a new browser tab with the practice for you.

Step 7. THE MULTIPLIER EFFECT:

The more you cultivate wisdom and resilience, the more the benefits accrue to you personally, your circle of friends and associates, and your community. There are powerful ways to activate this Multiplier Effect. After you have made progress in a few of the practices, you might explore creating synergy by combining them. The simple act of Paying Forward is designed to produce a positive feedback loop: as you give freely away to help others in need, so the benefits return to you, quietly and often imperceptibly. The Multiplier is enhanced by practicing in small groups of explorers, which will be supported by the various social media and other online educational programs we are offering.

FOLLOWUP PLANS AND ACTIONS

Step 8. CREATE A PLAN:

You can Ask Kokoro to help you to create your own personalized plan. (1) Simply reflect on the thread you have created by first posing your initial question to Kokoro, and/or selected Essential Question, and as als0 defined and refined in The Resilience Guide and cultivated by Wisdom Practices. Now frame the key elements of your desired training and coaching program, and type in your Action Plan Requirements as you wish, and also select one Action button from the list, and click “Enter” at the bottom.  The app will auto-scroll back to where your session replies are accumulating and the progress animation will play until it appears. Continue to test and enhance your Wisdom and Resilience by meeting practical challenges presented in your daily life’s encounters and negotiations.

TO START OVER:

To start over with a different selection of entries, simply go to the top of your browser window and click the circle arrow to refresh the page! Note: If you are on a mobile device (e.g. cell), you will only see one column at a time and each list will be below the other. In this case, scroll down to make selections from each set (Challenges, Resilience Factors and Wisdom Sources).

Resilience Practices

Wise, Synergistic, and Resilient Leadership
Thumbnail

Culture is the Rosetta Stone of organizational behavior. Defining the essentials of an organization’s culture can positively and directly influence all important decisions.

Big Heart Intelligence (BHI) combines wise capabilities of the human heart, the imagination and genius of the mind, and the raw grit and courage of the gut

Thumbnail

Trust releases synergy. The key is how to build durable trust, which is closely related to organizational wisdom. Here are a few principles that can be incorporated into an organizational Charter.

Thumbnail

Kaizen is a Japanese business philosophy that focuses on continuous improvement across an organization. The word “kaizen” translates to “change for the better”.

Thumbnail

The Organizational Score Card will provide an instantaneous picture of your organization’s strengths and weaknesses.

Thumbnail

The concept of shared value can be defined as policies and operating practices that enhance the competitiveness of a company while simultaneously advancing the economic and social conditions in the company communities in which it operates.

Thumbnail

One fundamental principle is to enable each team member to soar with his or her strengths. People have different skills and inherent capabilities.

Thumbnail

Evolutionary Values which if practices as an integral part of your organization’s culture will create a happy and healthy work environment leading to superior financial and other outcomes.

Resilient Negotiation Practices

This tool enables you in a few minutes to gauge your physical, emotional, perceptual, spiritual, and relational resilience.

Thumbnail

Seeing the Big Picture is one of the attributes of Big Heart Intelligence. Seeing the Big Picture involves not only engaging your creative imagination.

Thumbnail

The basic rule is that an effective Mission and Purpose is always in the world of the other party. It is not what you want.

Thumbnail

The Action Log captures on one page the essentials of the Resilient Negotiation system. I urge that you prepare an Action Log in every negotiation that is important to you.

Thumbnail

The central presumption of the Separation Hypothesis is that we are alone, separate, fragile, and vulnerable. This premise of Mind shows up in our attitude toward what we truly Need in life?

Thumbnail

Every skillful negotiator seeks to understand the “Pain” of the other party. Pain is a source code of human behavior.

Thumbnail

It is one thing to advise “Few Needs”, quite another to embody this precept. A prime manner in which this happens is how we unthinkingly Assume and Expect things.

Thumbnail

Another way Need manifests in the unprepared negotiator is the untimely and unnecessary breach of your Integral Resilience Container.

Thumbnail

Conserve your Resilient Negotiator’s Budget (Time (1) x Effort (2) x $$$ (3) x Creativity (4)). Paying special attention to your Negotiator’s Budget.

Thumbnail

We cannot navigate wisely in the world today without acknowledging The Shadow Game and the Shadow Players.

Thumbnail

In many negotiations the parties are not revealing their actual intentions, conclusions, or concerns, and it can be critical to go behind the mask.

Thumbnail

Sun Tzu’s dictum, “Know Yourself, Know the Adversary” (i.e. the “Other”) is fundamental, but the great general philosopher doesn’t tell us how to know ourselves and how to know the other player.

Thumbnail

Most people fear getting a “No” and that moves them into greater Need. In reality depending on how you negotiate it, a “No” can be your great friend and teacher.

Thumbnail

Field Notes is where your Wisdom Practice meets the road. They enable you to track and to measure errors (“falling off”), wins, and recoveries.

This is the famous advice of the Zen Master Bukko to Hojo Tokimune, the young Japanese shikken or regent to the shogun.

Organizational Culture DNA
Thumbnail

There are different kinds of listening and attending. In a busy world we tend to listen, partially, casually, with our ears and a mind diverted by many things.

Thumbnail

Mastery and efficiency form a powerful partnership. The path to mastery isn’t a luxury; it is imperative for organizational long-term success in a complex, changing world.

Thumbnail

A powerful Wisdom Resilience Practice is to design and Implement a powerful Living Organizational Charter, co-created and regularly (quarterly) updated by all members of the organization.

Thumbnail

Anthony’s Discovery Question: How can we reconcile the problem of not knowing whether I or my beloved wife will die first? How wisely to come to terms with it?

Thumbnail

Inspired by the wisdom and awesome power of nature and holistic thinking, this practice involves immersive, outdoor retreats where employees, supported by facilitators, engage in deep listening, mindfulness, and power building exercises.

Thumbnail

The Ancient Power of Storytelling is a hybrid digital and physical initiative where employees regularly document and share stories of how they bring values of trust, compassion, foresight, paying forward, and collaborative innovation.

Thumbnail

Research indicates that facilitating flow in the workplace can lead to enhanced employee engagement, productivity, and overall job satisfaction.

Attracting, Motivating, and Retaining Talent
Thumbnail

There is a direct relationship between overlapping essential “upskills” training, Soul’s Work Inquiry, and significant increases in employee productivity.

Thumbnail

Most people especially in busy senior managers of organizations listen with their ears, fewer with their minds, and almost no one with their hearts.

Thumbnail

The Innovators Gold lies at the “intertidal zone” between conventional domains of knowledge. The Explorer's Wheel responds to the challenge.

Thumbnail

One of the greatest gifts an organization can make to its employees is a proven system of navigation in a turbulent world.

Thumbnail

Leaders of 21st Century organizations that are willing to invest imaginatively in their talented and committed employees will likely retain these employees, and enjoy increasing productivity gains.

Thumbnail

Employee disengagement is a significant concern, with Gallup estimating it costs the global economy approximately $8.9 trillion in lost productivity, equating to about 9% of global GDP.

Organizational Resilience, Risk Management, and Wise Decision Making
Thumbnail

The first step in determining your organization’s Integral Resilience, and thereby its capacity to make wise decisions around risk and opportunities, is to complete an Organizational Integral Resilience Score Card.

Thumbnail

In the complex and interconnected world of today, decision-makers across sectors are often plagued by what can be termed as “individual and collective blindness.”

Thumbnail

Five important Wisdom Practices for organizations are first to become aware of how biases and noise can distort critical decisions by becoming familiar with Kahneman’s and his colleagues’ work.

Thumbnail

Wisdom is most challenged when life conditions present us with tragic and false choices. Many such “tragic” choices are false choices,

Thumbnail

It is possible to anticipate and to reduce serious errors and potentially fatal decisions through careful application of resilience-based protocols supported by Kokoro analytics.

Thumbnail

Here is a Case Example of Kokoro Risk Matrix Analytics supporting a new community leadership model addressing unexamined electrical wildfire risks in the Lake Tahoe Basin.

Thumbnail

What is your organization’s current “Negotiation System”? Most organizations do not have in place a systematic way to identify errors and rapidly recover, then turn serious errors into opportunities.

Thumbnail

Many of the same tools for building resilient organizations can be applied effectively in designing and implementing resilient and wise strategic alliances and collaborative networks.

Thumbnail

The current morass of ESG thus presents a unique challenge and opportunity for the wise and resilient organization.

Thumbnail

Risk management includes sensing risks in advance, implementing effective risk avoidance and/or mitigation strategies, then learning and adapting rapidly. The same Integral Resilience skills that apply to risk management can be used to manage our responses to Uncertainty.
