1. YOUR GIFTS:

Please identify and describe:    • your passions    • behavioral strengths    • talents    • special skills    • unique experience    • central relationships    • other critical resources

NOTE: The focus here is on your special gifts, talents, life experience, etc. This may take some careful reflection.

WHAT YOU WROTE:

At that moment, they understood that they were like characters in a rogue tale—two unconventional creatures learning to coexist outside society’s norms. This reminded Chorus of a famous quote by Mahatma Gandhi: “You must be the change you want to see in the world.”

2. YOUR COMMUNITY:

Please identify and describe specifically how your talents, skills, and perspectives can benefit or help your community (please define this community) address an important challenge.

WHAT YOU WROTE:

The alligators, who usually found Tranquil’s buzzing annoying, started to appreciate the new balance in the soundscape. The cranes, who were earlier distracted by Chorus’s incessant chanting, now found that it added a serene but lively rhythm to their habitat. They all agreed that something had shifted, and the wetland felt more like a home than ever before.

3. CULTURAL CREATORS:

If you are an artist, musician, writer, photographer, inventor, entrepreneur, innovator, how might you connect your gifts to important challenges of your community?

WHAT YOU WROTE:

Chorus was a bullfrog with an incredible talent for sound. His vocalizations filled the air, resonating with the complex rhythms and textures of traditional African music. On the other side, Tranquil, a tsetse fly, was known for inducing sleep in those she touched—a gift and a curse, as it often disrupted the lives of the other animals in the wetland.

4. YOUR PASSION WORK:

Please describe your vision of “passionate work” that will bring the above personal resources into passionate fulfillment, where you are actually paid by someone for rendering these products and services. sated.

WHAT YOU WROTE:

One sunny day, Chorus found himself irritated by Tranquil’s persistent buzzing, which seemed to dull the vibrant atmosphere of his habitat. He decided to approach her, hopping along the surface of the water, feeling the cool sensation of the wetland beneath him.
“Good day, Tranquil,” Chorus began cautiously. “Your buzzing seems to be causing quite a disturbance. Could you please refrain?”
Tranquil woke from her drowsy state, somewhat surprised. “Ah, Chorus, you always speak as if you’re reciting poetry. I don’t mean to disturb, but it’s my nature.”

5. FORMULATE YOUR ‘ASK’:

Formulate your “Ask” for the product and/or service or talent/skills/experience your offering your community.

WHAT YOU WROTE:

Curiosity got the better of Chorus, and he shared tales of his own hero’s journey, a time when he had to traverse dry lands in search of water. “It taught me the essence of balance. In every habitat, there’s room for all voices, even the most disruptive ones.”
“Like the Yin and Yang in Chinese philosophy,” Tranquil mused.

6. YOUR MULTIPLIER:

Measuring Community Resilience Multiplier (CRM). What do you estimate and measure is the value (please assign a $ value) for your community if you are given a chance to realize your soul’s work over a 3 year period?

WHAT YOU WROTE:

Over the weeks, their friendship grew stronger. They shared stories, philosophies, and laughs, each becoming an indispensable part of the other’s life. For Chorus, the friendship validated the journey he had undertaken across the dry lands, a chapter in his hero’s journey that now seemed to have prepared him for this beautiful synchronicity.

7. IMAGERY AND STORYTELLING:

Please describe your ideal passionate work in stories, images, music and sounds, feelings, metaphors from nature, and so forth.

WHAT YOU WROTE:

Hero’s Journey: A small book narrating their personal journeys to acceptance and balance, emphasizing the hero within each one.
Chinese: A Yin and Yang pendant, half depicting a frog and the other half a fly, symbolizing the unity in their differences.
Math: A scale model that perfectly balances the weight of a frog and a fly figurine, representing the Principle of Equivalency in their friendship.

8. BACKLIGHTING YOUR FUTURE:

Backlighting the Future (Reverse Storyline). Imagine that you have just realized your passionate work over the next 3-5 years. FIRST: Please describe in as great detail as you can what that looks like, feels, the key actors, the benefits that derive from it for you, the company, organization, agency, place, people, benefit to your community, how people are expressing that benefit. Please do all of this in the present tense. As you are simply witnessing a movie unfold before your eyes. SECOND: Now backlight from that point of time step by step—in a way you are telling your life’s story from its end backwards—to the present moment, identifying the key milestones  along with way that enabled your success.

WHAT YOU WROTE:

Activities to Explore:
• Soundscapes: Create your own ambient soundscapes using natural sounds, exploring how different elements can contribute to harmony.
• Conversational Balance: Practice active listening and thoughtful speaking in conversations, aiming to achieve a balance between the two.

9. LEVEL OF RISKS

Please identify the risks you will be taking on by perusing your “soul’s work”. Then state what risk free scenario will enable you to realize your soul’s work.
